University Crest Glass Roundel (Small)

  • Make a Selection

Small stained glass roundel featuring the University crest, framed with traditional stained glass lead and hung with a trace chain.

The University of Glasgow crest depicts the four miracles of St. Mungo, the city's patron saint, with the addition of the Book of Learning and the University Mace. Our motto Via Veritas Vita ('the way, the truth, the life') appears on the ribbon beneath the shield.

The version of the crest used here is from the Gilmorehill Centenary Window in the Randolph Hall, designed in 1970 by Gordon Webster to mark the 100th anniversary of the University's move from the Old College to its new home in the West End.

Each roundel is hand-crafted by stained glass specialists Winged Heart in the borders of Scotland and Cumbria.
