Who runs this website?
The website is run by Glasgow University Heritage Retail Limited. This is a subsidiary company of the University which donates all profit to the University. Last year we gave £90,000 profit to the University using Gift Aid, making a total donation of around £120,000.
Your website has changed and I can't find what I need!
Sorry about this! The website now contains more products than ever before, but there are a few for which we are awaiting either new photographs or new stock. If you have a particular product in mind please get in touch and we'll try and speed the process along or sell you an alternative.
Is everything you sell available on your website?
Sadly not! We carry hundreds of lines in the shops at the University and the Hunterian and listing them all just isn't possible for our small team. What you see online is a selection of the most popular items in our shops, and will also change when there are big events like graduations, exhibitions, or for seasonal occasions like Christmas.
However, if you've seen something in one of our shops that we don't have online, please send us an e-mail and we'll see what we can do - we're always glad to try and make things available by arrangement.
My size/colour/favourite hoodie is out of stock! When will it be back?
We endeavour to keep a full range in stock across our clothing lines wherever possible. However, individual colours, sizes and styles of clothing can sell out extremely quickly due to high demand, and turnaround times vary by garment and supplier. You can use our Notify Me button to be informed when something comes back into stock, or send us an e-mail at email@example.com to ask for more details about timescales.
You used to have a particular product, but I can't find it on your website any more. Do you still sell it?
If a product is missing entirely from the website then it may have been discontinued. This can happen for several reasons (e.g. supply difficulties, lack of demand, or we may have replaced it with something different or introduced a newer version).
Alternatively, we may temporarily remove products from the website if they've sold out, or are running low. Please contact us and we'll be glad to confirm either way for you.
Do you sell faculty scarves?
We're really sorry - faculty scarves in the traditional style have been discontinued for the foreseeable future. We did look into relaunching them, but production costs post-pandemic have proved too high.
