Who runs this website?
The website is run by GU Heritage Retail Limited (GUHRL). This is a subsidiary company of the University which reinvests all profit to the University. Last year we gave £90,000 profit to the University using Gift Aid, making a total donation of around £120,000.
I can't find a particular product in the online shop - do you still sell it?
If you can't find a particular product, it may be sold out or temporarily offline for another reason. Alternatively, it may have been discontinued. Please get in touch and let us know what you're looking for, and we'll be able to advise further.
Is everything you sell available online?
Not everything! We carry hundreds of lines in the shops at the University and the Hunterian and listing them all online just isn't possible for our small team. What you see online is a selection of the most popular items in our shops. This may also change on a seasonal basis or when there are big events like graduations or exhibitions happening.
If you've seen something in one of our shops that we don't have online, please send us an e-mail and we'll see if we can help.
The item I'm looking for is out of stock - when will it be back?
Turnaround times vary by product type and supplier. You can use our Notify Me button to be informed when something comes back into stock, or send us an e-mail at university-shop@admin.gla.ac.uk.
When will the Schools clothing ranges be available again?
We don't have a date for when these will be back yet, but we'll post any updates when we have them.
Do you sell University kilts?
We don't sell kilts or offer a kilt-making service through the shop. However, we do sell University tartan. If you are interested in purchasing material to have your own kilt made up, please send us an initial enquiry via e-mail and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
Do you sell faculty scarves?
We're sorry, but faculty scarves in the traditional style have been discontinued. There are no plans to reintroduce them in the foreseeable future.
