Adam Smith Decoration

£ 8.99

This handmade decoration is made especially for the University by luxury decoration maker, St Nicolas.

Adam Smith described his time at the University of Glasgow as 'By far the most useful ...and by the far the happiest and most honourable period of my life.' He attended as a student, became a professor of logic and moral philosophy and served as University Rector until the year before his death in 1790. This decoration shows him clutching his most famous book 'The Wealth of Nations'.

St Nicolas work hard to maintain the best ethical standards.
Their historic figures are made in Thailand by skilled rural women to enable them to work from their own homes and communities rather than leaving to find work in factories.
