Thinking of ordering in time for the festive season? Here's everything you need to know!
The dates below have been set to take into account guidelines provided by our carriers and suppliers, as well as University service closures ahead of the holidays.
🎁 UK Order Deadlines:
UK orders placed before Monday 15 December will be dispatched before Christmas. Our elves will continue dispatching orders placed after this date, but we can no longer guarantee that your order will be sent before the holidays.
Please be aware that once orders leave the shop and are picked up by our carriers they may be subject to issues that are out of our control, such as unexpected delays or diversions, and we therefore cannot guarantee specific delivery dates for any UK parcels.
🌍 International Order Deadlines:
Overseas orders placed before Wednesday 10 December will be dispatched before Christmas. Our elves will continue dispatching orders placed after this date, but we can no longer guarantee that your order will be sent before the holidays!
As above, once orders leave the shop and are picked up by our carriers they may be subject to issues that are out of our control, such as unexpected delays or diversions. We therefore cannot guarantee specific delivery dates for any overseas parcels.
🛒 Collect from Shop Order Deadlines:
Orders placed before midday on Thursday 19 December will be processed before Christmas. The shop elves will continue processing orders placed after this date, but we can no longer guarantee that your order will be ready to collect before the holidays.
Please wait to receive a ready-for-pickup message before coming to collect your order.
Our order collection service will close at 12pm on Sunday 21 December. The Gift Shop will be closed from Monday 22 December to Monday 5 January.
Please note that Replacement Degree Parchments are not available for in-store collection, nor are alcohol products. Alcohol can be ordered online for UK delivery only, or can be purchased in person in store on campus.
🌈 Special items
The following items are made to order and/or are dispatched by external suppliers, or by other departments within the University. They can take longer to produce and send.

Please note that we cannot guarantee that orders for any of the above items placed in December will be dispatched or delivered before Christmas.

🎅 Shops on campus - Festive opening times
Gift Shop: 10am-5pm, Monday to Sunday.
The Gift Shop will be closed for Christmas and New Year from Monday 22 December until Saturday 3 January.
Hunterian Art Gallery Shop: 10am-5pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
The Art Gallery Shop will be closed for Christmas and New Year from Monday 22 December until Tuesday 6 January.
Online Shop: The online shop will remain open throughout the holidays, but the web team will be out of the office from Saturday 20 December until Monday 5 January. Orders placed during the holiday period will be processed as soon as possible from Monday 5 January onwards.
Please be aware that if you place an order during the holiday period while the shop is closed, payment will be captured at the time you place your order. If you place an order and then need to cancel or change it for any reason, that's no problem at all! Just send us an e-mail at university-shop@admin.gla.ac.uk and we'll sort this out for you as soon as we can once we're back.
