Sequin Peacock Decoration
Featured in our Hunterian Art Gallery is a beautiful image by James McNeill Whistler, called The Cartoon of Rich and Poor Peacocks. This decoration represents this piece in our collection.
These decorations are handmade in Thailand and India according to Fair Trade principles. Many of them feature the traditional Indian technique of zardozi embroidery. The manufacturer, St. Nicolas, is a member of the British Association of Fair Trade Suppliers.
